A telecommunication coaxial cable for the transmission with low-amplitude distortion of pulse code modulated signals, comprising two thin coaxial conductive films continuous longitudinally of the cable and separated by an intervening dielectric and carried by respective supports of conductive material whose electrical conductivity compared with said films is relatively low wherein the thickness of said films is not greater than 0À1 mm. The conductive films may be of copper or aluminium and the material of low conductivity is of iron. In a preferred embodiment of the cable, an inner support and a film together form a wire while an outer support and a film forms a tape.
