Abstract

1,244,077. Sheet building panel. H. H. ROBERTSON CO. 1 Dec., 1969 [4 Dec., 1968], No. 58573/69. Headings E1B and E1W. A building panel formed from metal, plastics or other sheet material comprises lips 34, 32 along longitudinal edges which are formed to provide tongue-and-groove joints between adjacent similar panels, one end of the panel, across the full width to include the lips 34, 32, being joggled to form a portion 20 which will rest within the relatively opposite end of a similar panel, the portion 20 having a width which diminishes from its line of attachment with the main body of the panel towards its free extremity whereby each panel 16b Fig. 1 of a second course superimposed upon a first course 16a can be assembled by a rotation about a lower corner, as by anticlockwise rotation of the panel 16b' about its corner 78b so as to fully engage adjacent panels at their respective tongues and grooves and nesting ends. A gasket 36 is carried upon the tongue 34. The panels are secured to girts 23.
