Abstract

1,243,862. Chipboard. FORSKNINGSINSTITUTTET FOR HANDELS-OG INDUSTRIPLANTER. 21 Aug., 1969 [14 Feb., 1969], No. 41705/69. Heading C3N. Chipboard is produced by chipping plant stalk material longitudinally whilst at the same time roughening the surface of the chips, mixing glue with the chips, and finally pressing the glue and chips together to form the finished board. The chipping is carried out by means of rough surfaced tools and preferably the stalk material is roughened between the two grinding faces having different speeds. The raw material chipped may be straw, maize stalks or sugar cane bagasse.
