Abstract
1,242,762. Advancing mine roof supports. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd. 10 April, 1970 [18 April 1969], No. 19835/69. Headings E1E and E1P. A mine roof support is provided with a cantilever extension 48 and a platform 52 mounted on the base, the platform having a part 58 which can be raised clear of the path of e.g. a machine travelling along the conveyor 22. The cantilever extension and platform part 58 are power operated by hydraulic rams 56, 62 and the support is advanced by the aid of a second support 70. (For Figure see next column)
