1,242,225. Releasable fastenings. A. H. CHURCH. 28 Nov., 1968 [17 Jan., 1968], No. 2595/68. Headings E2A and E2B. [Also in Division A4] A furniture coupling device comprises two identical connector pieces 1, each having a tapered dovetailed tongue 3 and a tapered undercut groove 5 complementary to tongue 3. The tongue 3 of each piece engages into the groove 5 of the other piece, and the entire bounderies of the abutting faces 2 are coincident. Each piece has a screw hole 9 and a dowel 7. Each piece may be an integral plastics moulding.
