Abstract
1,240,092. Stud and socket fastenings. DYNAMIC TOOLS Ltd. 8 Jan., 1970, No. 993/ 70. Heading E2B. A connector comprises two parts 10 and 11 which are releasably and pivotally connected by an end portion on the part 11 engaging in a recess in the part 10 through an inverted T shaped side slot 30. The part 10 is made in two sections resiliently held together by a spring 41 anchored at one end in a groove to allow the section to move apart when the end portion of the part 11 is pushed through the side slot 30, the sections pivoting about adjacent end edges. A pin anchored at one end in one section and movable a limited distance in a slot in the other section retains the two sections together. A surface 63 of an enlarged portion of the part 11 and an abutting annular seat 27 on the part 10 are inclined whereby a pull in opposite directions on cables passing through an eye 16 and 56 in each part tends to hold the parts together more firmly.
