Abstract

1,239,527. Inter-locking; controlling fuel supply; stopping. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. July 24, 1969 [July 30, 1968], No.37329/69. Heading F1K. A pneumatically controlled injection pump 1 for an internal-combustion engine comprises a control rod 3 which can be moved by a central spring beyond the full load position into the starting position and by a stop lever 7 into the stop position. The full load stop is provided with a releasable arresting device and the stop lever is coupled to the drive pedal (not shown). Instead of the conventional stop lever there is disposed on the controller shaft 5 a sector plate 6 connected inside the injection pump 1 to a lever 7 which moves the control rod 3 into its stop position. To stop the engine the pin 10 can be lifted against the action of the spring 11 by the electromagnet 12 so that the coil spring 8 can move the lever 7 into the stop position. To restore the normal drive position, the sector plate must be rotated until the pin 10 engages on the stop 9. For this the controller shaft 5 is connected through the linkage 13 to the drive pedal.
