Abstract

1,238,012. Foundations for buildings; reinforced concrete piles. METROPOLITAN CONCRETE WORKS Ltd. 7 June, 1968 [9 June, 1967], No. 26845/67. Headings E1A and E1H. In a foundation for a building comprising a series of concrete piers or piles 10 supporting a rectangular, framework of beams each of the latter are of channel section or consist of two L-shaped beams arranged to define a channel therebetween which channel receives a bent over reinforcing rod 11a of a pier, secured therein by insitu concrete. The beams may also be made of reinforced concrete and the piers or piles arranged in steps as shown to locate a building on a slope.
