Abstract

1,236,673. Rack mounted electrical equipment. SIEMENS A.G. 28 Jan., 1969 [2 Feb., 1968], No. 4740/69. Heading H1K. Telecommunication equipment units are each mounted on a bracket secured to a rack, the bracket being provided with guide rails and plug-in connector device. A telecommunication rack, Fig. 1, is provided with a plurality of mounting brackets 1 secured to the rack and each bracket is provided with guide rails, electrical connector 3 and screw-threaded hole, Fig. 2 (not shown). The equipment units 2, Fig. 3 (not shown), are provided with mating connectors and guide parts and are slid into position on a respective bracket 1 and drawn into engagement with connectors 3 by a screw co-operating with the screw-threaded hole. The units are arranged one above the other in columns and can be suspended from their brackets 1 or stand thereon.
