1,233,161. Polyvinyl ester compositions. A. STANKIEWICZ, [trading as Dr. ALOIS STANKIEWICZ CHEMISCHE ERZEUGNISSE]. 21 Jan., 1969 [29 March, 1968], No. 3424/69. Heading C3P. A resonance-suppression composition with maximum damping in two separate temperature ranges, comprises a mixture of a thermoplastic binder and a filler, in which the binder comprises a mixture of polyvinyl propionate and polyvinyl acetate, there being at least 40% by weight of polyvinyl propionate and at least 5% by weight of polyvinyl acetate, based on the total weight of binder. The specific compositions comprise polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl propionate, mica, dibutyl phthalate, polyoctyl acrylate and polyvinyl ethyl ether.
