Abstract

1,232,635. Cloches. W. JONES & CO. (UMBRELLAS) Ltd. 17 July, 1969 [10 May, 1968], No. 22261/68. Heading A1E. [Also in Division A4] A collapsible cloche operates on the same principle as an umbrella. A central rod ] carries two slide members 7, 11. To one slide member 7, are attached two supporting ribs 9, and canopy 10, to the other slide member are attached thrust ribs 12. Two spring loaded catches 4 and 14 are provided for holding the cloche in either the collapsed or open positions. The cloche is opened by sliding slide member 7 down until it engages catch 14. This compresses spring 16 which acts between slide member 11 and pin 15. The rod 1 is stuck in the ground by means of point 2.
