Abstract
1,230,728. Antiskid systems. TELDIX G.m.b.H. 30 May, 1969 [30 May, 1968], No. 27613/69. Heading F2F. An anti-skid regulator system for fluid pressure actuated vehicle brakes having electromagnetically operated valves capable of being actuated in dependence on the rotational behaviour of the vehicle wheels, including a normally open inlet valve E to the brake cylinders and a normally closed exhaust valve A from the cylinders also includes a parallel duct 13 bridging the inlet valve E and containing a normally open electromagnetically actuated closure member Ez which has a self-holding device 15, 19 connected to the switching member - b 2 for the exhaust valve A and to the brake-light switch 17. Operation of the brakes closes switch 17 and applies a voltage across the wheel sensor. Deceleration causes contact - b 1 to close and thus close valve E. Further deceleration causes a change-over of exhaust valve A via contact - b 2 and simultaneously a relay winding 19 is excited via a diode 20 to close contacts 15. This results in inlet valve Ez closing and the relay holding in via a diode 21. On acceleration of the vehicle wheel contact + b closes and contact - b 2 opens so that the exhaust is closed again. In the course of small peaks of acceleration sensor contact + b opens and with it the inlet valve so that each time the braking pressure rises in small steps but the inlet valve E 2 remains closed until brake-light contact 17 re-opens. In a modification, Fig. 3, separate regulation is provided for both wheels on a single axle, a parallel duct 27 being linked with the wheel-cylinders via non-return valves 28, 29.
