Abstract

1,229,611. Amphibious tandems. K. MALAKOWSKI. 18 Oct., 1968 [16 Jan., 1968; 12 March, 1968; 17 July, 1968], Nos. 2245/68, 11879/68 and 33937/68. Headings B7A and B7V. A foot-operated tandem has wheels that function as floats in water and the flaps 4<SP>1</SP> act as paddles. Steering in the water is effected by a differential system allowing one or other of the driving belts 28, 29 to be slackened and thus to slip. Cables 20, 21 control this. (For Figure see next page.)
