Abstract

1,226,961. Unloading trailers. I. HEALEY, and K. B. HEALEY, [trading as F. H. HEALEY & SON]. 6 May, 1968 [20 April, 1967], No. 18175/67. Heading B8E. A trailer has a driven belt 12 at its base to discharge the contents through an outlet in the end wall. The flow of material is controlled by a plate 34 vertically adjustable in grooves 33 to vary the size of the outlet. Further control of the flow may be by means of a cover for the belt within the trailer which is adjustable to and from the belt to vary the clearence and thus the flow. The belt 12 may discharge into a shoot 32 or on to a further conveyer arranged at the end of the trailer. The belt 12 is driven from the power take off of a tractor through reduction gearing.
