Abstract

1,223,507. Piezo-electric resonators. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 24 Oct., 1969 [29 Oct., 1968], No. 52264/69. Heading HIE. [Also in Division C7] The frequency of a piezo-electric resonator 1 having vapour-deposited electrodes 3 and 5 is adjusted to a precise value during manufacture by the vapour deposition on one side of the resonator of a lead fluoride layer 19, deposition being terminated when the resonance frequency attains the desired value. The electrodes 3 and 5 are circular with extensions 7 and 9 which contact metal support clamps 11 and 13 which are carried by strip-shaped supports 15 and 17 and constitute the electrical contacts for the resonator.
