Abstract

1,222,023. X-ray apparatus. CENTRO SPERIMENTALE METALLURGICO S.p.A. 28 Aug., 1968 [6 Sept., 1967], No. 41139/68. Heading H5K. [Also in Division C7] A disc-shaped sample 40 is mounted on the goniometer of an X-ray diffractometer. The sample is pressed against a "Teflon" (Trade Mark) block 23 by a spring-loaded forked pin. Screws 20, 21 allow vertical and horizontal centring of the test surface of the sample with respect to the incident ray 22. The spring-loaded forked pin is rotatable to bring different areas of the sample into position for examination.
