Abstract

1,221,664. Togger clamps. HOWARD S. COOKE & CO. Ltd. 12 March, 1969 )[11 May, 1968], No. 22466/68. Heading E2B. In a toggle fastener comprising an attachment plate 10 which pivotally mounts a toggle lever 13 to which is pivoted a hasp member 15 and including screw end nut means for adjusting the position of the hasp member relative to the attachment plate, the toggle lever is provided with side flanges 24 which co - operate with a lug or .projection 26 on the attachment plate whereby the adjusting screw is inaccessible when the fastener is in its fastened condition. As shown, a pivot pin 12 for the toggle lever is located by a sleeve (34) (not shown) between lugs 11 on the plate and is apertured for the head of a rotatable screw the other end of which is threaded on a pivot pin 14 for the hasp member, the pin being movable in a slot 18 by the screw, to adjust the position of the hasp member.
