Abstract

1,219,318. Hydraulic motors. MESSERSCHMITT-BÍLKOW-BLOHM G.m.b.H. Aug. 15, 1968 [Aug. 31, 1967], No.39172/68. Heading F1P. A double acting hydraulic motor comprises a double-walled cylinder 10, Fig. 1 a piston 20 having a cylindrical skirt 22 extending between the cylinder walls and having four working surfaces 21, 23, 24, 25 exposed respectively to cylinder spaces 11, 13, 14, 12 which latter are connected in pairs viz. 11, 13 and 12, 14 in two hydraulic circuits. Chambers 11, 13 are connected by lines 30, 32, Fig. 2 to valves 40, 42 whilst chambers 12, 14 are connected by lines 21, 33 to a valves 41, 43 and both sets of valves are actuated simultaneously by means 50. To extend the piston 20 valves 41, 42 and moved to the left so that lines 30, 33 are pressurized and lines 31, 32 are connected to return resulting in fluid-pressure acting on the right hand side of piston surfaces 21, 25 whilst the remaining surfaces 23, 24 are connected to exhaust.
