1,218,685. Traction couplings. JOHANN ROCKINGER SPEZIALFABRIK FUR ANHANGER-KUPPLUNGEN. 5 Sept., 1969 [9 Sept., 1968], No. 44029/69. Heading B7T. A traction coupling adapted to be secured in a U-section member 6 at the rear of a tractor vehicle comprises a traction rod 2 mounting a coupling head 1 and passing with clearance through a bore 3 in a bearing 4 with tapered plastics rings 8 mounted on the rod abutting divergent ends of the bore, there being further mounted on the rod resilient rubber members 9, 10 retaining the rings 8 in position and loaded by a nut 19 on the threaded free end of the rod. Protective caps 16 are provided for the members 9, 10 and a further cap 21 provided for nut 19.
