In the gaps between a ridge tile 3 and corrugated roofing tiles 4 a metal, synthetic or bituminous matrice accessory element 7 shaped to fit over the upper edge of the roofing tiles 4 and be bonded thereto has an upturned upper edge 9 which deflects back moisture blown between the lower edge of the ridge 3 and the upper surface of the roof covering. Any moisture tending to penetrate seam 10 by capillary action cannot go beyond point 11 because here the accessory element slopes away from the roof covering.
