[Also in Division A4] A steam oven includes an air circulating fan, a heater to heat the air circulated by the fan, a water bath in the bottom region of the oven over which the circulated air is passed, a heater to heat the water in the water bath and control means arranged such that the air heater is actuated only after the water in the water bath has reached a predetermined temperature. The control means also stops the heating of the water at the predetermined temperature. The control means includes a thermostat in the water bath. The water and air heaters may be electric heaters, steam or oil coil heaters or gas burners. The electric heaters are controlled by a relay whereas the steam or oil heaters and the gas burners are controlled by valves.
