Abstract

1,215,544. Laminated roofing material. S. S. W. SCHOLANDER and G. E. PETTERSSON. 1 Feb., 1968 [6 Feb., 1967], No. 5272/68. Heading B5N. Roofing or walling material comprises rigid sheet material 6, which is preferably corrugated, having on its underside a layer 8 of porous material, having a thickness of 0À4 to 1À0 mm., which temporarily absorbs condensation and so prevents dripping. The rigid material may be galvanized sheet, aluminium or synthetic resin. The porous material is preferably glass-wool which has been sprayed with a resinous adhesive but may be other mineral wool or non-rigid foamed plastics. It is preferably highly compressible, and sheets of the composite material are preferably jointed by simply overlapping them and securing them together as shown.
