Abstract

1,214,913. Stretch suits for infants. WILLIAM BAKER (LEICESTER) Ltd. 26 March, 1969 [23 April, 1968], No. 19063/68. Heading A3V. An infant's stretch suit comprises a bodice 12 with a nether pant 16 having legs and has a back opening 30 formed between overlapping upper and lower back parts having edge portions 32, 34, the lower edge portion 34 having an elasticated edge part. Also provided are integral feet soles (20) for the legs, sleeves 22 with cuffs (24), Fig. 1 (not shown), and a roll neck band 26. The elasticated lower edge part comprises a loose elastic 36 in a tube of fabric. The feet soles may be attached and the legs, sleeves, cuffs and neckband are also overlocked where attached. The upper edge portion 32 has side seams 38 and extends below the lower edge portion 34 so that it may be tucked in after the infant has been passed in through the back opening 30. Suitable stretch materials for the suit is made from woven or knitted nylon or other synthetic yarn. The suit may be made from pre-printed fabric and may have cuff and neckband of a colour contrasting that of the bodice.
