1,214,583. Making plastics bags with fasteners. MINIGRIP (LONDON) Ltd. 14 Feb., 1968, No. 7331/68. Heading B5D. [Also in Divisions B8 and E2] In a rib-and-groove type fastener for plastics bags the slider has depending limbs 5, 6 which engage the exterior and a wedge 7 which carries flanges 11, 12 below the ribs 2, 3. The bag may be made from separate sheets 15a, 15b welded together at 16, or alternatively by extruding a tube of plastics with internal ribs, cutting the tube between the ribs, fitting the sliders and then securing the two sides of the tube along spaced-apart lines.
