Abstract

1,213,954. Valves. LANDIS & GYR A.G. 30 July, 1969 [7 Aug., 1968], No. 38271/69. Heading F2V. A fluid flow valve comprises a valve housing 7 into which is removably screwed a threaded insert which includes a valve operating stem 1, a valve element 2 secured to the stem, a valve seat 5, a stem seal 4 and a return spring 6. When the insert is screwed into the valve housing 7, a contact face 8 seats against a wall 9, and a valve cover 3 integral with the seat 5, seats against a sealing ring 10. As shown, the valve operates as a mixing valve with one valve seat 5, however, a second valve seat may be arranged in the housing 7 inwardly of the insert. The insert can also be incorporated into throughflow valves and distributing valves.
