Abstract

1,212,996. Boxes. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. Ltd 28 June, 1968 [13 July, 1967], No. 32208/67. Heading B8P. A box for eggs, fruit &c. comprises a base 1; downwardly sloping sides 8, 9 and two lids 2, 3 hinged along opposite sides 4, 5, the lids being so arranged that in their closed position they abut along their adjacent edges 10 and are thus held shut. The box may be moulded from plastics, e.g. foamed polystyrene, and the base 1 may have moulded pockets for the eggs &c. The two lids 2, 3 may be hinged either on the long sides or the short sides of the base 1.
