Abstract

1,212,730. Mixing apparatus. CHEMINEER Inc. 13 Aug., 1968 [21 Aug., 1967], No. 38742/ 68. Heading B1C. Mixing apparatus comprises a rotatable shaft 51 having arms 55, 60 with fingers which on rotation move between fingers 68 on stationary arms 68 which project into the mixing chamber 14. Arms 55, 60 are arranged to rotate adjacent to the inlet and outlet of the mixing chamber. The fingers of the movable or stationary arms may be pitched to provide lateral thrust. The mixing chamber may be provided with a jacket 36 and the shaft may be arranged to rotate about a horizontal or vertical axis.
