Abstract

1,211,614. Multiple pivoting, clamps. STADIUM Ltd. 28 April, 1969 [26 April, 1968], No. 19882/68. Headings E2B. and E2F. [Also in Division F4] A mounting arrangement for a vehicle lamp comprises a clamp arm 2b having a curved serrated end edge 2c which co-operates with a cover 3 to clamp onto the top edge of a vehicle bumper, the two parts being drawn together onto the bumper by means of bolts 4, and a lamp supporting member 5 on cover 3 adjustable in both vertical and horizontal planes to align the lamp 8, there being a clamping screw 7 to secure the lamp in vertical alignment and a screw (6) operating in a slot in member 5 to secure the lamp in horizontal alignment. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4, not shown, the clamp is designed to clamp onto the bottom edge of a bumper, and the lamp supporting member in this case is attached to lugs (10) on the clamp arm via a connecting arm (11) so that it protrudes forwards beyond the bumber. To prevent theft of the device, the bolts 4 are Allen screws whose hexagonal head sockets are filled with a hard setting material and the bolt ends are burred over to prevent removal of the nuts.
