Abstract

1,211,257. Selective printing. METO-GES OSCAR KIND m.b.H. 26 Jan., 1968 [18 Feb., 1967], No. 4257/68. Heading B6F. A printer comprises a plurality of coaxial type wheels 1 each selectively adjustable by means of a wheel 9 fixed to a shaft 7 on which is mounted a driver 6 which is engageable in a radial recess 5 in a selected type wheel 1 by axial movement of the shaft 7, the shaft being formed with peripheral grooves 10 for receiving a spring detent 11 for accurately locating the driver 6 in co-operation with a type wheel 1, each type wheel being formed integrally with a sprocket wheel 15 engaged by a spring-loaded lever 13 for aligning for impression and holding the type wheel in the printing position. The driver 6 projects through an axial slot 8 in a sleeve 3 surrounding the shaft 7 and on which the type wheels 1 are mounted. The selected type 16 is associated with a corresponding symbol 17 which may be indicated by a pointer (18), Fig. 3 (not shown), fixed to the shaft 7 against rotation with respect to the frame 2.
