Abstract

1,208,757. Photographic type-composing. HARRIS-INTERTYPE CORP. 10 Oct., 1967 [3 Nov., 1966], No. 18826/70. Divided out of 1,208,754. Heading B6W. The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 1,208,754 but the claims are directed to apparatus wherein each character is formed on the recording medium by deflection of the beam along two co-ordinate axes including a memory storing relative character width information, a point size control and circuits interconnecting the memory with the point size control so that each time a character is generated information regarding the actual width of the character is transferred to the positioning means of the character generator.
