Abstract

1,208,523. Ships' stabilizing fins. INSTYTUT MORSKI. 24 Oct., 1968 [25 Oct., 1967] No. 50506/68. Heading B7M. The upper and lower surfaces of a ship's stabilizing fin each include a portion which is concave and forms a working surface. In the embodiment of Fig. 2 the front edge 10 of the upper working surface 7 forms the front edge of the fin and the uqper 7 and lower 6 working surfaces, are mutually displaced longitudinally of the hull. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 there are a plurality of upper and lower working surfaces, the upper and lower surfaces being symmetrical with respect to each other.
