Abstract

1,206,333. Safety devices for towing connections. W. S. WESTIN Ltd. 7 July, 1969 [11 April, 1968], No. 17456/68. Heading B7J. [Also in Division E2] A caravan is protected from theft by enclosing the socket 38 of its towing bar in an envelope comprising a pair of plates 12, 24 hinged at 10 and padlocked at 20, the top plate passing through the handle 48 and the bottom plate having a projection 34 which enters the socket, this projection having a gap 42 accommodating the normal fastening pin 44 of the towing bar.
