Abstract

1,205,361. Driving spindles. HAMEL G.m.b.H. SPINNEREI-MASCHINEN SWIRNEREI-UND. 10 March, 1969 [11 April, 1968], No. 12461/69. Heading DID. In a spindle driving device for a spinning or twisting frame having a continuously rotating drive pulley 6 and a belt 5 passing thereover and in engagement with at least one whorl 4 which may be braked while the belt is running, the surface 12 of pulley 6 is of a friction increasing synthetic coating to give a coefficient of friction between the wheel and belt such that the belt does not slip thereon. The belt passes over a guide pulley 9 and a spring loaded tension roller 10 mounted on a pivoted lever so that the belt is normally tensioned but may be released when the whorl is stopped.
