Abstract

120,462. Schranz, P., and Schranz, R. Nov. 24, 1917. Limbs, artificial.-A foot comprises a wooden body f hollowed out beneath to receive an inflatable bag g which is covered by a steel sole-plate f<2>. The plate f<2> has upstanding flanges f<3> which are bent over to engage pads f<4>, f<5> at the front and rear. The pad f<5> is supported on a plate f<6> connected to the foot by a pin f<7> which may be withdrawn to allow the removal of the sole-plate. In the event of puncture of the bag, the soleplate forms a surface continuous with the rest cf the foot.
