Abstract

1,201,326. Hinged windows and panels. PERCY LANE Ltd. 28 Nov., 1968 [6 Dec., 1967], No. 55509/67. Heading E1J. A hinged window 28 or other ventilating panel structure particularly for the front of a caravan, comprises a panel or sash 30 hinged along the top edge to a frame member 20 by interengaging hook members 42, 46 extending the length of said side and a flexible sealing strip 56 carried in a groove 54 on the sash member 30 bears on the weather side of the hinge to seal same and prevent or reduce ingress of water through the hinge. Alternatively the sealing strip 56 may be mounted on the frame member 20. To retain the panel relative to the frame member 20 rubber plugs are inserted into the hook formation of the stationary member 20 to bear against the ends of the hooked formation of sash member 30 and the plugs are secured in position by deforming the ends of flange 42.
