Abstract

1,201,028. Fishing floats. AUGER ACCESSORIES Ltd. 28 Sept., 1967 [10 Nov., 1966], No. 50339/66. Heading A1A. A fishing float has three rings of which the intermediate one is offset from the float so that the line, when under tension, binds on the rings. To determine the depth of water a line is passed through the three rings, is weighted and then cast. The float rides up the slack line to the water surface and is then held by line friction as the line is pulled taut to retrieve the float which thus indicates the water depth.
