A flexible coaxial line comprises inner and outer conductors, both of which are flexible, each flexible conductor comprising a thin-walled metallic tube with grooves and ridges which extend in the circumferential direction and are closed or helical, the ratio of the diameters D/d of the conductors for a required characteristic impedance Z being such that in which D = diameter of the outer conductor or the inside diameter thereof if this should be a flexible conductor d = diameter of the inner conductor or the inside diameter thereof if this should be a flexible conductor # a = standardized groove depth of the outer conductor # i = standardized groove depth of the inner conductor.
