Abstract

1,200,257. Finger rings. W. J. PELLOW Ltd. 14 July, 1969 [12 July, 1968], No. 33492/68. Heading A3H. In a finger ring in which an ornament 3 is mounted within a bezel secured to the outer periphery of the ring 1, the bezel comprises an under bezel 2 secured perpendicularly to the plane of the ring to receive the ornament and an outer bezel 4 which surrounds the external periphery of the under bezel and overhangs the ornament periphery to retain it. The under bezel 2 is permanently fixed to the ring 1 by soldering or otherwise securing the central zone 5 of a dished carrier to the ring and its fingers 5a to the underside of the flange 2a. Both bezels 2 and 4 have 'L' shaped cross sections, the circular side wall 4a of the outer bezel 4 fitting over the side wall 2c of the under bezel and having equidistant claws 4c which may be bent over to engage corresponding recesses 2b formed in the flange 2a of the under bezel. A coin 3 may thus be secured to the ring 1, being located by the circular side wall 2c of the under bezel and clamped between the flange 2a of the under bezel and the flange 4b of the outer bezel.
