Abstract

1,192,286. Laying cables. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CONSTRUCTION CO. Ltd. 5 May, 1969 [6 May, 1968], No. 21340/68. Heading H2C. When pulling a cable into a conduit, the tension is applied to the armouring wires. The core and outer covering 12 are shortened and the tapered plug 1, with a pulling eye 3 is inserted between the protecting armouring wires 14 which are then clamped to it by a tapered collar 6. The projecting wires 14 are doubled back round the collar and secured by tape. The collar and plug may have knurled surfaces.
