Abstract
1,191,780. Disinfectant &c. dispenser. R. F. LEVEY and S. R LEVEY. 20 Dec, 1968 [22 Dec., 1967; 18 July, 1968], No.60760/68. Heading A5G. Apparatus for dispensing disinfectant or the like into the contents of a flushing cistern comprises sealed container for the material to be dispensed' provided with one or more apertures to allow the cistern contents to enter and leave the container, the aperture(s) initially being sealed 'by a water-soluble sealing member which dissolves when the apparatus is positioned, in the cistern. Preferably, the container. 26' is constructed of thermoplastic film which is heat sealed at its edges (42) to form a bag having holes 44, 46 and 49 which initially are covered 'by strips 48, 51 of water-soluble material, bonded to the container by a water-soluble adhesive. A hole 52 is provided in the container's upper edge to accommodate a suspension member, e.g. a wire-reinforced plastics strip which .may be bent to conform with the shape of the cistern wall and form a hook from which the container is suspended'.
