Abstract

1,191,718. Educational appliances; iridicators. M. I. GLASS, [trading as MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES]. 19 Oct., 1967 [17 Nov., 1966], No. 47573/67. Headings G5C and G5G. An educational appliance comprises a base 10 having a plurality of parallel partitions 26 each having circular bearing members 28 projecting from one or both sides, and a plurality of hollow blocks 32 of triangular cross-section, each block having three laterally projecting shafts 36 adapted to frictionally engage aligned pairs of bearing members to permit rotation of the block. Each member includes at least one notch (30) (Fig. 2, not shown) which receives a shaft 36 when a block is correctly orientated. The appliance is made of plastics. The blocks of the right hand column Fig. 1 are similarly coloured so that when correctly orientated those blocks spell "CAT" and give a visual representation of a cat.
