Abstract

1,190,252. Securing cladding panels. ALCOA OF GREAT BRITAIN Ltd. 6 July, 1967 No. 31257/67. Heading E1W. Cladding panels 32 are secured adjacent to a re-entrant or salient corner, 15, 14 respectively by support members 17 secured to the building surfaces 10, 11 or 12 defining the corner, an elongate cover member 19 being provided which at its edges interengages with edges of the support members so as to be held spaced from the corner whilst covering the gap between the cladding panels at the corner. The edges of the cover member may be a clip fit with the edges of the support members 17 or they may be a pivotal fit therewith the parts being retained in engagement during handling and fitting by bowed leaf springs 33. The support members 17 may be longitudinally co-extensive with the cover members and may have beads 25 for passing the cladding 33 from the building surfaces 10, 11, 12.
