[Also in Divisions G5 and H3] A lacquer for coating the inside of a wooden cabinet and thereby protecting exposed metal parts of electrical apparatus mounted in the cabinet from corrosion comprises 15-90% by volume of zinc powder in a binder formed of nitrocellulose or epoxy, alkyd or acrylate resins dissolved in hydrocarbon solvents, esters, ketones or alcohol. An example given comprises 43% zinc powder by volume; a mixture of nitrocellulose and alkyd resin (1 : 2) 24% by volume; and a mixture of toluene and butyl-acetate (2 : 1) 33% by volume.
