Abstract

1,183,710. Roll holders. DILLON-BECK MFG. CO. 9 Oct., 1967, No. 46078/67. Heading A4G. A holder for a tissue roll 16 on a core 15 comprises a spindle 11 the envelope of whose surface is gradually curved so that, when inserted axially through the core, it touches the inner core surfaces at a plurality of points e.g. 17a, 17 b, 17c for braking rotation of the roll. The spindle may be of plastics connected at one or both ends to a mounting 14, 12 and may be of hollow cylindrical U-shaped section or of off-set connected cylindrical portions, and the end remote from the mounting may be provided with a cantilevered protruding lug 19 axially retaining the roll.
