[Also in Division G2] An illuminating and viewing device, such as for use in reading dials, comprises a tubular casing 11 closed at one end 13 by a window 14 and enclosing a holder 16 which carries a lens 17, a light bulb 19 and battery housing 18. A metal tube 22, extending along the wall of casing 11, and detachably connected thereto by a stud 26 and nut 27, is attached at one end to the holder 16 and at its other end carries a switch 28.
