Abstract

1,180,005. Rodenticide baits comprising maltose. MONSANTO CO. 31 May, 1968 [2 June, 1967; 7 Feb., 1968], No. 26238/68. Heading A5E. A rodenticide bait compositions contains a rodenticide and maltose in an amount sufficient to improve the acceptability of the rodenticide bait. Suitable rodenticides are strychnine, sodium fluoroacetate and "multiple dose anticoagulant" type rodenticides, several of which are specified. The bait may be a solid food or liquid bait and may contain a fungicide such as potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sodium propionate, sorbic acid or ethyl- or methyl-p-hydroxy benzoate to preserve its freshness.
