Abstract

1,179,989. Toys. PARKER BROS. Inc. 16 April, 1968 [21 April, 1967], No. 17814/68. Heading A6S. A hollow cube structure consists of six identical square panels which carry devices whereby the panels are joined together to form the cube. Each of the identical side elements (A-F) have an inner and outer surface which are preferably joined by a beveled surface 3. The inner surface may be recessed to help reduce the weight. The elements are held together by pegs (5) which are preferably cylindrical, which all have the same diameter and are spaced apart at a distance slightly less than their diameter. Spacers (6) are preferably placed between the holding pegs. Any number of holding pegs may be used depending on the strength required. The pegs are slightly offset from the centre of each side of the panel, one of the pegs in each set being situated so that it is tangential to the line through the centre of two opposite sides, and the pegs on each side of the panel are displaced in the same relative direction. The pegs are preferably made of a resilient material so that the sides are held firmly together.
