Abstract

1,179,318. Exposure control. PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE, VEB. Aug. 11, 1967, No.37017/67. Headings G2A and G2C. A method of automatically producing photographic copies from images arranged in strip form on carriers comprises the steps of examining the negatives to ascertain exposure correction values; applying these values in the form of optically, electrically, magnetically, pneumatically or mechanically explorable marks to a control band fastened to one long edge of the carrier by a detachable adhesive connection; and passing the carrier and its attached band through a copying apparatus where the marks are scanned by means within the apparatus and the appropriate graduation and/or colour corrections are made. Preferably magnetically explorable marks are used.
