Abstract

1,178,631. Spray producers. E. HAFTKE. 8 March, 1968 [9 March, 1967], No. 11248/67. Heading B2F. A spray producing nozzle comprises a turbulence chamber 31 with a plurality of inlet orifices 33 in an upstream wall 32, an axis of symmetry of each inlet orifice in the direction of flow intersecting the longitudinal axis of a slot shaped outlet orifice 35 provided in a downstream wall 34. The inlet orifices may be circular and there may be a plurality of outlet slots in line, parallel or overlapping, or with longitudinal axes intersecting. The outlet orifice may be closable or adjustable by a sliding plate. A continuous tube may be provided within the container to provide a jet in addition to the spray. Preferably the area of the outlet orifices does not exceed that of the inlet orifices.
