1,172,964. Caps for bottles. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. 26 Jan., 1968 [27 Jan., 1967], No. 4241/68. Heading B8T. A closure 10 screws on to a bottle 20 such that a sealing ring 18 engages an inclined surface 24 to form a seal. Increase in internal pressure through a temperature rise in the bottle increases the wedging effect of ring 18 on surface 24.
